Introduction

If you’re new to us, the Crumbling is a podcast series about how we got to be in this particular world. Specifically, how disinformation created an epistemic crisis, or post-truth moment, and how that impacts literally every aspect of our daily life. We tell the stories of how and where certain kinds of disinformation started, how they propagated, and what their consequences are.

It’s some kind of historical narrative thing. Your hosts through this journey are Sophia Florence, Andrew Hilary, and Davin DuBois. This page will be holding the notes for our show, as well as other writings on these topics, and links to youtube videos and other media that we create that’s an extension of the same project. We hope you enjoy what you find here, or at least that you find it informative and useful.

We can’t promise that learning about how fascists spread disinformation is fun, but we can try to make it as entertaining as possible, and help prepare you for the times when these stories really matter. Which I guess are today.
